Function
A vibrating trough feeds the incoming material into the heavy-particle separator. The separator sorts out not only heavy particles but ferrous metals as well. The material to be chipped is then drawn into the centre of the cutting chamber.
This is accomplished through an optimum interplay of knife protrusion, distance between knife and deflecting wall, and distance between knife and wearing pad.
